Local Lifestyle

Life in Concord focuses on preserving its local history while making strategic plans for the future. Residents here are incredibly proud of the town's history, and for a good reason. It was the site of the first battle in the American Revolution and has been the hometown of famous authors such as Thoreau, Hawthorne, and Alcott. Residents are passionate about sharing that history with visitors and maintaining key historic sites like North Bridge. But it's a progressive community, too, especially regarding environmental policy. Residents are actively involved in local projects, events, and government. They know this is a special place to live and want to work hard to preserve it. The friendly community welcomes newcomers and offers a unique artistic vibe you won't find in other small Massachusetts towns.
